I'm going to head out tomorrow, it'd be good to see you there Brian. There's a very good chance of rain, infact I'm sure it will rain at least a little - the rain tends to form right in front of Bald Knob. It's been raining on and off today, would still be flyable you'd just have to jump in the car every now and then.

Been some great posts in here recently. Well done guys. congrats Andrew on getting the wizard done. Any F3F happening on the sunny coast today? Plenty of wind down here. 23-29kn straight in. Going to set the gear up if anyone keen? Eric

Ez, too far for me to go today to your place, but wow, I'd love to.
I'm packing a zillion planes and F3F gear, radar gun etc right now and hope to leave for Maleny around 11. Fingers crossed we don't get too much rain, as it should be good wind.
Darn, wish I had tomorrow free!

Hey Andrew,
Best of luck for today. I would love to come up but it is so windy here. Also a little worried about the rain. Watching the wind here has swung to ENE.

Im fairly new to slope soaring and was wondering where the best spots to fly are when the south-easterly's start blowing? Cant find anything on the coast so Im guessing inland somewhere. I live in Aspley but dont mind travelling. Any suggestions?

welcome my friend (Startreck hand)
Sunshine coast has a great beach slope at Point Cartright... free for all to fly there... just make sure you respect the people walking past etc...
