Steve are you still happy with your Duck? I'm cobat wingless at the moment so I think the times come to choose, Duck or Bee.

Steve are you still happy with your Duck? I'm combat wingless at the moment so I think the times come to choose, Duck or Bee. My Duck is ... unfortunately... ducked It's my opinion that if you're into heavy combat that the bee is more durable. They both get knocked about, but the ribbon spars in the duck get destroyed in big hits (see QUEEN BEE). IMHO the Bee is more resilient. If you are into combat I would recommend building a bee without spars, and moving the battery outboard (splitting the cells) and replacing the space for cells with foam. It takes a bit longer but is worth it. They will both need re-covering after some abuse. Maybe the bevolution changes things but I haven't got one yet.

i would get a bevo only because it is faster than the bevo and it still has all of the same atributes as the origonal bee....as in recovery and stuff like that, it is all the same and still can fly in really light lift ;D

Was at SC by myself this arvo from 4:30. Best flying since I came back to the hobby. Finally got a grip on my barrel rolls and loops (probably coz no one was watching) Flew until dark. Great way to finish a work day.

Vanders I love my Duck but I have not flown any others to give a considered opinion. I like to support local manufacturers when can. Mine is fully taped and covered in laminatting film, it has extra CF ribbon spars and a 5 x AA pack. it is heavy by duck standards. It does not fly slow in light lift like some of the others I have seen. I made it strong as it is my first sloper, and it is strong. Andrew and Sean have both DS'd my duck.
On Sunday Pete and Simon were flying theirs so slow ( and fast) and close and literally landing them in their laps!.
I will probably build another one at some stage but make it very light.

Sorry to here that Andrew. Hope you get out on Father's day while I'm at work.
What is the knob like in a westerley? I don't think I will venture to Dayboro without you being there.

Bill is back in town. It would have been nice to have a fly on the weekend. It's not looking good, but Sunday is a chance at SC.
