Hey Felix, I tried to DS that headland ... my advice is DON'T!!!! It's not a good shear, ie the hill is so pointy that the wind's going around it, rather than over it. Bad news, particularly with the big cliff and surf below, ready to gobble you up when you don't get back over the front! I tried it with a heavy Reaper, with a big fast dive-in and it was like getting thrown into a washing machine.

Aw, man, yeah. I reckon the best westerly day of the year so far and I couldn't get out! But that's life. Can't complain ... I've had plenty of good days.

Just got back from riding over to SC. The wind looked very good. Coming from the north tip of Moreton, seemed around 12kts???

Hope so . Was there last Sunday with Greg and Paul and even Paul's Weasel was barely hanging in. If it's blowing I'll be there. Ken.

where is this flying site? have to make the trip up sunday and have a look tomorrow looks like another afternoon of northerly winds.....going to try the northern slope at SC (around the headland near the pub overlooking hornibrook bridge). looks promising in a good northerly but have only tried it once in a light breeze with only mikes beevo staying airborne.

That's the road. The flying site is at the top, near where Brandenburg and Hovard roads meet. Unless you get there really early you should see people flying there on Sunday. This is the link on Whereis.com. www.whereis.com/qld/bald-knob/millwood-ct?id=2D59F21376A035The spooky thing about the Whereis map is that it shows two roads that don't exist - Milwood Ct and Ashwood Ct. If it did exist, Milwood Ct would drop straight down the flying slope .
