Hi all, I have updated the location page of the site: www.frogmedia.com.au/windsock/locations.htmI have added some photos of the locations, and will be adding some more soon. I have also included kmz links for some of the locations (not all), which means if you have Google earth installed it will take you directly to the location. Note Google Earth must be installed for the kmz links to work. Gerard

The Windsock site is starting to get out there: Checkout: www.slopeflyer.comThe site has been added to the site. The site is also featured on: www.aussiemodelforum.com/Main.php?action=Article&id=169There's a nice picture of Andrew on it! I have been slowly improving the Google ranking, when you searching for the keywords of 'slope gliding' it comes up on the second page. A local Australian search brings it up on the first page. There are a number of other keywords that when completing a search will produce good results. Start sending stuff in, and I will put it up on the site. I'm planing to include some of the tips that are coming in through the forums onto the site as well. Gerard

Hi all, It was great to see people flying at Woody Point yesterday. For such a small slope it still provides enough lift to have some fun. I have uploaded the photos to the website: www.frogmedia.com.au/windsock/photos5.htmGerard

Do you have Hi-Res versions of these Gerard? I'd be interested in a few to maybe use as Desktop backgrounds.

Hi Callun,
I do have high-res versions. Which one are you interested in? I can create a desktop download area of different images with different resolutions.

I quite liked w5 and w15, but I'd be difficult because I have a 2048*768 res setup (dual monitors). I'd wonder if those pics would look any good because the action would be split on either side of the two monitors. Though with my 4mp camera, at full size I can just trim it to the 2048*768 proportions and it fits nicely. What megapixelage is your camera?

Hey Gerard, you've made some significant additions to the site. Good article on the prototype. Good idea with the wallpapers. The section on tips for beginners is excellent and I think we should build on this. It's so often that passers-by ask us all about the planes, how to learn, and I often find myself spending half the arvo talking to them and 95% of the time you never hear from them again! Maybe we should print up little business cards with the site URL link printed on them, to give to guys who are interested. Tell them to have a look at the site, read the info, and email if they want more info.

I have already made the business cards, made them a week or two ago. The site is now starting to really work. It has taken a lot of effort but I really enjoy doing it. I will hand some out to you. I've got the logo and website printed on them.
I should arrange for you to have another go at my prototype, the new servos have made it much better. There is still a bit of movement, which I want to iron out.
Did you see the photos from the weekend?

What megapixelage is your camera? I have a 6 megapixel camera with a 75mm-300mm zoom lense which is great to get photos close up. The image sizes are about 3200 pixels wide. Gerard

The site is great. One improvement would be to tell it we're all gmt+10. The time thing is mildly annoying.

I would love to, but I setup the forum sometime ago and I have can't remember the user name and password. I have emailed proboards but have had no luck, will keep trying.
