Wow, great looking plane. I remember Morg ordered one of these from Canada too - he's a scale enthusiast and he only buys good stuff. He moved away, I never saw it but he raved about it.

AIRCELL
Where do you guys get your aircell from for your wing bags? I was quoted $11.00/metre the other day and thought there has to be better than that somewhere

I use underfloor underlay as a more economical and lighter choice. Info here.. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=11344502#post11344502cheers jeff PS The aircell tape that AVB sourced is fantastic for securing foil based products together.

I think $11/metre is about right. It's 1.3 or 1.5 wide, and you'd be able to make bags for a big plane with 1 or 1.5m. It's so robust but light, and offers so much knock protection I reckon that $20 or so is well spent to avoid dinging expensive fragile wings etc. When you're a tired Dad heading out the door for a fly, it's easy to bang a tail or an aileron on the door in the rush. Not worth it. These aircell bags give lots of protection.
It's really easy to work with too - just cut with knife or scissors and I get the impression that the silver tape is a permanent join! Easy to make up bags/ sleeves/ shapes for fuselages or V-tails too. I use velcro strip to fasten it - but you have to work it so that you stick to the gold side - the velcro pulls off the silver side.
I haven't yet noticed any scuffing on my wings from the bags (but all my gear is so rough and dirty I mightn't notice ...!)

If anyone is looking for lightweight pushrods, after advice from Thevon I went shopping at Hobbycity and came up with what I reckon is a winner!
I bought 1.8mm carbon rods, 750mm long. I also bought multistranded flexible steel wire pushrod sets, which come with a clear plastic outer. Just discard the flexible, heavy steel wire and slide in the carbon rod - it's a neat fit! The items cost very little, and I have a light, stiff pushrod. Perfect!
Ken.

Plus, the price was only $19.50.
