"damn it, once again, I have to be the one to start off a new page, so no one can see what has previously been said.... GRRRRRRRR " Don't worry about it too much. I for one always use the '40 most recent' search so it doesn't matter what page your post is on Let us know how the Weasel-Evo goes! Ken.

Sean, Jared and I made a big trip to Beechmont yesterday arvo to cash in on the solid SE wind, and it was great. A great social occasion with Ezza, Timbuck, Kevvy Bennet and a couple of other guys there as well. Huge lift, occasional showers, limousine DS then soft landings with a 3.8kg fully ballasted Wizard, foamie DS furballs behind the trees, screaming Erwin pumps, spectacular foamie carnage and near misses all featured strongly. Admiring some amazingly good build techniques from the Gold Coast boys ... particularly Kevvy's use of thin gloss kitchen laminate sheet on foam cores for the Windburner - unbelievably good. Tim whispered a few updates on his "fast, heavy, cheap" secret plastic DS plane that's not far off now. And that's my short report. When I get work under control I hope to write a longer report and (using my new editing program) put together some of the great video we captured.

There is the occasional day when the lift at Woody Point is great, and today's one of them. I just ducked down and flew for 20mins - some of the biggest halfpipes I've done here, with the Ozprey. I did a bit of micro-DS successfully behind the trees, ending in a hard belly slap on the turf, but no damage. Checked controls - all working. Relaunched and had control for 5 seconds then it went dead. It arced over the top of the trees, over the road (grimace, can't look ...) hit a concrete fence and landed on the footpath. Very lucky to miss expensive cars and windows in unit blocks.
Seems like it's broken an Eneloop cell or something. Starts up with a little bit of movement then dies.

well its done, i flew the pike today, and succesfully landed without any hiccups! one thing however, is that it doesnt range check what you would normally expect, but i ran into no issues while flying....
flew straight out of seans hands with only a couple clicks of trim....
did a dive test and kept diving, so i have added 10g of lead to the nose
did a roll and was suprised with how responsive it was
when landing i realised that crow braking is far more effective than what i originally thought it would have been, and landed about 50m away from my feet
LOL
anyway, im stoked as and thanks to sean for making the effort in comming up to help
