Don't forget to pack your glow sticks for a bit of whacky night flying action afterwards weather permitting I know I'll have a night fly and there will be at least a couple of others. It's great to watch. Where do you get the glow sticks from and many do you stick to your plane? I've near done it before, is it easy enough to judge the position of your plane?

Glow sticks now that must be interesting, I think I'd want a red for port and green for starboard!
I recall places like toyworld, the warehouse etc have thin bracelet type glow sticks for kids, not sure of the color range though.

Flying with glowsticks is a piece of cake. We mounted one on top of each wingtip and one top and bottom at the centreline of the plane, and voila, makeshift Starship Enterprise. If you buy any glow sticks, make sure you buy the long skinny variety that they use for bracelets or the headband types - they're only about 5mm across and a lighter softer plastic, not the chunky, heavy, shorter ones. You can get them in packs of 5 or so normally for that reason. It's possible to do basic aerobatics with them on - loops and rolls, and I think I counted myself doing 15 barrel rolls in a row in the dark last new years period

Folks, my neighbour gave me a box of 20 thin bracelet glowsticks this afternoon (they were a failed mud crabbing experiment). I think there might be three colours. So everyone if you want or need them they will be there for you on the evening, no worries. Can anyone recommend a moderately priced nearby hotel or motel in Shorncliffe ? I will need to book pretty early to have a chance I guess.

Hey have you guys noticed how context-sensitive the advertising is at the top of these forum pages? There were 3 adverts for glow sticks and glow necklaces before!

Google Adwords are amazing. When I go into my gmail, and check the spam filter, it gives me recipes for Spam dishes!

Thanks for links, looks like i may have found an on site van at Brighton van park, and its walking distance to the fly site which is great.
Yep, the wonderful world of cyber data mining, matching and tracking is mind boggling these days. As much as i curse code programmers at times you have to respect they are very clever buggers.

We had a look at SC this afternoon. Andrew has volunteered to bring a barby so we can eat close to flying. Looks like byo snags I'll bring my super camp light so we'll have something to see by. We'll just have to hope the conditions are good now and no storm

What's the thoughts on a back-up plan for Sunday in case the weather turns nasty? Been looking at the 7 day outlook on Seabreeze and it's forecasting between 30-35knts & showers . Lets hope we end up with some better conditions but I thought it might be a good idea to develop a plan B (just in case) - any ideas? Steve, this might affect you as you are making the effort to come all the way from Hervey Bay, but I'm sure you can understand that we can't control the weather.
