Hey things are starting to look up a bit, on screen at least. Strikes! I would ride 500Km just to catch 30 minutes of sun and a BBQ on the weekend. In fact its raining cats and dogs here today.

Very excited... however the direction doesn't look good for night flying. You really want to be on the main slope for night flying...

Forecast - Sunday: E/NE winds to 10/15 knots. Seas 0.7 metres. Late shower or thunderstorm.
Looks like we'll be able to have our new year BBQ.

BYO sausages, bread rolls, drinks, chair etc.
I'll check with Andrew today if he can bring his portable BBQ. If anyone else has a portable BBQ it might be good to know.

Sorry, posted in wrong thread ... yes I can bring BBQ and will bring a water drum and a trestle table. Last night it wasn't dark enough till 7:15 so it probably isn't worth starting the cooking too early ...
I hung around till 6:20 last night and the wind swung very north ... made it pretty hard to stay up at the normal spot. Similar forecast for tonight.

Are you guys still keen? I dont' really want to load everything up if it's a fizzer. Wind's gone and it looks like we'll get some more rain about 5:30. I'm happy to cancel if that's the consensus???

So, today was a bit sad really, what with the lack of lift and all... For some reason the pics aren't showing up... Here's what a day at the slope with no wind looks like: Bill signals his dissaproval of the eery (and irritating) stillness - you can see the inclement weather behind Mike. Whole lot of standing round more to come with some vids
